Children undergoing hematology and oncology treatments often spend long hours in clinical settings that can feel overwhelming, isolating, or frightening. This project reimagines the infusion play space at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital as a place of joy, agency, and escape. By integrating child-centered design strategies, sensory-safe materials, flexible activity zones, and playful visual storytelling, we aim to create a room where children can explore, connect, and simply be kids, even in the midst of treatment.
